The story follows Alabama, a hardworking employee at a downtown Washington, D.C., dispensary called Blunted Hills. What begins as a fun evening with co – workers quickly turns into a night she’ll never forget. As reality begins to blur, Alabama finds herself running through the streets of downtown D.C., trying to escape terrifying creatures while desperately trying to figure out what’s real and what’s only in her mind.
Every twist brings new questions.
Every moment builds more suspense.
And the ending will leave you talking long after the story is over.
Blunted Hills is part of my growing collection of original short stories created especially for readers and listeners who enjoy suspense, mystery, psychological thrillers, and unexpected endings.
What makes this story even more special is that it was inspired by an actual dream I had.
Several years ago, I had one of the most vivid dreams I’ve ever experienced. It felt so real that when I woke up, I could still remember every detail. The images stayed with me for years, and I often found myself thinking, “What if I turned this dream into a story?”
That single dream became the spark that inspired Blunted Hills.

And just when you think you’ve figured it all out, the story takes one final turn.
Blunted Hills is my way of taking one unforgettable dream and transforming it into a psychological thriller filled with suspense, mystery, and unexpected moments. I hope it keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end.
