Well, I know everyone has heard by now about the failed execution or was it a really failed execution. Let’s think about this, Christa has been sitting on death row since 1996 for the murder of Colleen. She was the youngest women to receive a death sentence. The murder of her Job Corps classmate was gruesome and I will not get into all the gory details but she did carry around a piece of Colleen skull and she did brag to other classmates about what she had done. She killed Colleen because of a guy she was romantically involved with. Her boyfriend at the time was Tadaryl Shipp who along with Shadolla Peterson helped with the killing.
So Christa got the death sentence, Tadaryl got life in prison with parole eligibility but has been denied parole, Shadolla became a witness & pleaded guilty so she got probation. I feel that Shadolla shouldn’t have gotten probation but life in prison but that’s how the court system works because someone is always going to walk free. Now from what I read no one knows what happened to Shadolla after the court case but I’m sure she is living her own karma because life can’t be easy especially now.
Anyway back to the execution debacle, Tennessee had one job and they failed. I, personally don’t think it was a failed attempt I believe in my wisdom it was God saying that it wasn’t her time. You see, when God says it’s not your time no matter what happens, you not going. I understand how Colleen family must be feeling, anger and frustration but this was God stepping in and saying I have a better way and whatever that way is, I can’t say.
As for me personally I am neither for the death penalty nor am I against it.
Now because of this debacle they may not try it again but if they do this might be her karma. I don’t think she should be left to spend her life in prison because that’s too easy of punishment but this is my thoughts on the subject so we will just have to wait and see what Tennessee does.
