If you’re in Washington, D.C. Today, you already know it is HOT!
A heat advisory is in effect as a dangerous heat wave moves through our area. If you don’t have to be outside,it’s a good day to stay indoors, drink plenty of water, and take it easy. If you do have to go out, wear light clothing, stay hydrated, and take breaks in the shade or air conditioning whenever possible. Don’t forget to check on your family, friends, neighbors, and pets. Extreme heat can be dangerous, especially for children, older adults, and anyone working or spending long periods outdoors.
Let’s all do our part to stay safe during this heat wave.
Stay cool, D.C. And I’ll see you in the next blog post!
